Acid Bath & Ministry Red Rocks 2026 — the Houma, Louisiana sludge metal band of Dax Riggs, Mike Sanchez, Sammy Duet, Jimmy Kyle, and Audie Pitre — released two of the most acclaimed and influential albums in the history of American heavy metal before disbanding in 1997 following the death of bassist Audie Pitre. When the Kite String Pops (1994) and Paegan Terrorism Tactics (1996) became cult classics, influencing an entire generation of doom, sludge, and extreme metal acts.
